14 May 2024 The Royal Society announce second 'Ocean and Marine Science Policy Primer' for ECOPs [Applications Closed]
Applications are now open for the Royal Society's Ocean and Marine Science Policy Primer.
Following last year's pilot, the Royal Society's Ocean Science Policy Programme, together with King's Policy Institute, will deliver their second Ocean and Marine Science Policy Primer, on Wednesday 22 to Thursday 23 May at the National Oceanography Centre (NOC), Southampton. The course will provide up to 30 Early Career Researchers (ECRs) and Early Career Ocean Professionals (ECOPs) with an understanding of science policy-making, and help them deliver the skills they need to effectively engage with policy.
Eligibility
To be eligible for this course, you must identify as a marine or ocean scientist, or have completed your PhD between 1 and 10 years ago.

Please note, the Royal Society will cover the costs for one night's accommodation on 22 May and lunches on both 22-23 May. Attendees will have to cover travel costs and the optional evening meal on 22 May themselves.
