These pages provide a summary of all UK-led or UK-partnered Actions officially endorsed by IOC-UNESCO under the 'United Nations Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development 2021-2030 (the Ocean Decade)'.
Decade ProgrammesDecade Programmes are typically global or regional in scale and will contribute to the achievement of one or more of the Ocean Decade challenges. They are long-term (multi-year), interdisciplinary and will consist of component projects and potentially enabling activities. |
Decade ProjectsDecade Projects are a discrete and focused undertaking. They may be regional, national or sub-national and will typically contribute to an identified Ocean Decade programme. |
Decade ContributionsDecade Contributions are in-kind or financial contributions to the coordination functions of the Decade or to Decade Actions. This includes Decade Collaborative Centres or Decade Implementing Partners. |
UK-Partnered Decade ActionsUK collaborators have formed partnerships with international institutions to take part in a wide range of globally endorsed Decade Actions. |
