On 10 March 2025, the UK National Decade Committee convened a science-policy dialogue, in partnership with the UK Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, and the Royal Society, to celebrate the achievements and engagement of the UK ocean community with the UN Ocean Decade, and look ahead at the next five years and beyond. 2025 is a significant year for many global environmental targets and the midpoint of the UN Ocean Decade, so presents a good opportunity to take stock of our engagement.
